There are no bad students.  I am very good at helping my students to learn how to succeed in this business of academics. I do so by both by attending to the immediate matters at hand as well as helping the students learn to think for themselves to learn to develop a grasp of both the concrete as well as the abstract. In short they will learn how they can succeed. In addition to 20 years in the classroom, I have tutored for the past 7 years. I have taught all subjects in elementary and middle school, English (grammar, composition, and reading) as well as social studies in high school, and college English. My high school students typically score in the high 20's and low 30's on the ACT. Because I am retired Army, I also specialize in helping students succeed on the ASVAB examination.
